PEACE, not prejudice WEEK

Join the Diversity Organizations as we celebrate PEACE! From October 22-26th, we'll have events going on all day that celebrate diversity, unity, education, and peace. Here's just a sampling of what's ahead:

Monday: Domestic Violence Awareness
A History of the Muslim Culture, Relationships b/t East and West

Tuesday: Sticks and Stones: How Language Impacts Us
World Religions: An Interfaith Discussion

Wednesday: Celebrate Diversity: Join the Diversity Orgs. at the Clocktower for information and 5 Simple Ways You Can Make a Difference within each community! That evening, join us again for a Peace Walk from the Clocktower to Riverside Park for a Peace Ceremony with keynote speakers, Representative Jennifer Shilling and Sister Anita Bescar. A candlelight ceremony follows, along with dropping 1000's of paper cranes in the river to remember our history, acknowledge the pain, but heal, and begin anew with strong ties in our community.

Thursday: International Violence and Rape Prevention
Speak Out: A panel on International Women's Issues

Friday: An All day Film Festival in Cartwright Center
